With the WWE Universe in Jack Swagger’s corner, The All-American was looking for a big win to ring in 2015. But it was Titus O’Neil who did what it took to get the victory. After driving Swagger spine first into the steel ring post, The Gator planted the former World Heavyweight Champion to the canvas the get the pinfall.

Bray Wyatt vs. Jack Swagger

Wyatt goes to work with right hands and knee lifts, but Swagger catches him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Swagger goes into the corner with shoulder thrusts and knee lifts, and starts hammering away with clotheslines until the referee backs him off the ropes. Wyatt levels him with a massive clothesline and then stares down Zeb Colter. He continues the attack for several minutes, mostly in a rest hold, and follows up with a running splash. Swagger briefly comes back and tries to get his opponent in the Patriot Lock, but Bray hits him with Sister Abigail.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

Tyson Kidd vs Jack Swagger 

Kidd immediately goes on the offensive, kicking Swagger down in the corner. Tyson then puts Swagger down in a headlock. Swagger gets out and fights back, but Tyson hits a low dropkick, and then hits a kick to the head. Swagger gets back in it, but then begins his comeback. Swagger goes for the Swagger Bomb, but Tyson gets his foot up. Tyson then hits a kick to the head, and rolls up Swagger for the 3 count!

Winner: Tyson Kidd

Jack Swagger vs Cesaro

Cesaro and Swagger lock up, with Swagger gaining the advantage first. Cesaro takes a shoulder block, and then Swagger taunts in his face. Both men lock up again, with Cesaro gaining control this time. Cesaro then hits a big boot after hitting a vicious uppercut. Cesaro then begins to beat down Swagger in the corner, and then follows his flurry of punches with a low dropkick. Cesaro then puts Swagger in a headlock. Swagger gets out, but Cesaro throws him to the ground and then hits a double foot stomp. Cesaro puts Swagger in  another headlock. Swagger fights back, but Cesaro throws Swagger to the outside, and then hits a double axe handle. Cesaro is in control as we go to commercial break.

We return with Cesaro still in control over Swagger. Cesaro hits another double axe handle, and then goes for the cover. Swagger kicks out, and Cesaro goes to the top rope to hit another axe handle. Cesaro then goes for a 4th axe handle, but Swagger stops him. Swagger then goes to the top and hits a belly to belly from the top rope! Swagger then hit the Swagger Bomb, and the goes for the cover. Cesaro kicks out at 2, and Swagger then goes for the Patriot Lock. Cesaro is able to get to the ropes, and Swagger has to break the cover. Cesaro then hits a thumb to the eye and an uppercut for the 3 count.

Winner: Cesaro

Rollins grabs the mic and welcomes us to “Where are they now” starring the Shield. He says that all three of them put the entire industry on notice. He then asks where they all are now. He starts with Dean Ambrose. He says he is one of the most talented superstars to ever step foot in the WWE, but he made a huge mistake to go toe to toe with Rollins. We are then shown footage of Rollins taking out Ambrose. He then says that no one knows where Dean Ambrose, including Dean. He then goes to Roman Reigns. He says all he ever heard in the Shield was that Roman Reigns is the future of the WWE. Rollins goes on to say that he created Reigns, and that his future is now obsolete since he put a target on Rollins back. We are then shown footage of Rollins taking out Reigns. He then goes on to talk about himself. He says he is the greatest strategist of all time and that he is the only member of the Shield left standing. He then says he is the future WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Out comes Colter and Swagger.

Colter says that Rollins isn’t a strategist, but a coward and a sell out instead. He then informs us that Rollins and Swagger will have a match right now.

Seth Rollins vs Jack Swagger

Swagger stars off with a shoulder block, which leads to Rollins rolling to the outside. Swagger leads the crowd in USA chants as we go to commercial break.

We return with Swagger in control over Rollins. Swagger begins to throw Rollins around the outside, but Rollins gets back in it, and then throws Swagger back in the ring. Rollins hits a dropkick, and then begins to attack Swagger in the corner. Rollins follows that with a clothesline, and then panders a bit to the crowd. Rollins puts Swagger in a headlock. Rollins hits a splash into the corner, and then goes to the top rope. Rollins then gets caught in mid air, and is then take down with a belly to belly. Swagger then begins his comeback. Swagger goes for the Swagger Bomb, and then connects. Swagger makes the cover but Rollins kicks out at 2. Swagger goes for a German Suplex, but Rollins reverses and hits a kick to the head.

Rollins then begins to attack the head of Swagger. Rollins then goes for another high kick but Swagger catches the ankle and then puts Rollins in the Patriot Lock! Rollins is able to get to the ropes, but Swagger continues the attack. Rollins is put on the top rope, but Rollins fights back, and then hits a jumping knee to the head. Rollins then hits the Curb Stomp for the 3 count.

Winner: Seth Rollins

 Renee Young is backstage with Seth Rollins. He says what happened to Dean Ambrose on RAW is the WWE Universe’s fault. Rollins talks about how John Cena, Chris Jericho and Jack Swagger lost at SummerSlam. He rips Swagger and Swagger walks up. They have words and Swagger gets in his face. Rollins says they will fight on SmackDown.

Del Rio opens up Main Event. Del Rio says since they are so close to Mexico, he is going to speak in to the people in Spanish. Del Rio than thanks the people for all of their support over the years. Out comes Swagger and Colter. Colter says that he doesn’t understand a word he just said. He says in this country they speak English. Del Rio says they are on the border of the United States and Mexico and that he doesn’t think of a better place to fight Swagger than right here. Colter accepts and says Swagger will take care of Del Rio like he will take care of Rusev.

Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger

Del Rio and Swagger lock up, with Swagger taking Del Rio down with a shoulder block. They lock up again, with Del Rio taking Swagger down this time. Del Rio then hits multiple kicks in the corner, until Swagger powers out and begins to beat down Del Rio. Del Rio gets up and hits a kick to the chest, but Swagger throws Del Rio to the outside. Swagger and Del Rio get back in the ring, with Del Rio hitting a kick to the head. Both men are down as we take a quick commercial break.

We return with Swagger being thrown shoulder first into the corner. Del Rio then begins to work the arm. Del Rio then goes up top and hits a double axe handle. Swagger gets up and fights back, but Del Rio is able to take down Swagger again. Del Rio then hits a snap suplex for a 2 count. Del Rio then locks the cross arm breaker on the ropes, but Del Rio has to break the submission for a 5 count. Del Rio however gets caught on the top rope, and Swagger goes up as well and hits a superplex. Del Rio is covered but Swagger only gets a 2 count. Swagger hits a clothesline and then a big boot, and then goes for the Swagger Bomb. Swagger makes the cover but Del Rio kicks out at 2.

Del Rio gets back in it with a Tornado DDT, and then calls for the Cross Arm breaker. Swagger reverses it into a belly to belly slam, but Del Rio kicks out again. Del Rio then gets up and hits the backbreaker. Del Rio then hits the kick to the head, but Swagger kicks out again! Del Rio then locks in the cross arm breaker! Jack Swagger then reverses it into the Patriot Lock! Del Rio tries his best to hang on, but has no choice but to tap.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Swagger stands tall as Main Event concludes.

After a smash-mouth start to the WWE Battleground rematch, Jack Swagger sent Rusev soaring from the ring, exacerbating his injured ankle and eliciting “USA” chants from the crowd. But Rusev would not stay down for long and surged back, delivering pain and suffering to the former World Heavyweight Champion.

 Swagger regained the momentum and locked the Russian in The Patriot Lock but Rusev managed to reach the ropes, forcing the official to break the painful hold. When the action spilled outside the ring, Rusev jabbed Swagger in the gut with the Russian flag pole, causing the bout to end in a disqualification.

Afterward, Rusev went to inflict more pain with the flag, but Colter grabbed it out of his hands. Lana then regained control of the Russian colors. As WWE Main Event came to a close, both Superstars held their contries’ flags high. Swagger won this battle by disqualification, but the war is certainly not over.

Swagger and Kofi start the match off. Swagger beats Kofi in the corner, but Kofi fights out and hits a monkey flip. Kofi then hits a kick to the head, and tags in Ziggler. Ziggler hits a dropkick, but Swagger pushes Ziggler in the corner. Barrett is tagged in, and hits a suplex right away. Barrett makes the cover for a 2 count. Ziggler gets away and tags in RVD. RVD hits a flurry of kicks, and then connects with the Rolling Thunder. RVD makes the cover but only gets a 2 count. RVD goes up top, but Barrett throws RVD off to the outside. Barrett is in control as we go to commercial.

We return with Rollins in control over RVD. Rollins hits the Triple Verticals, and then tags in Swagger. Swagger hits a belly to belly side slam, and then follows it with the Swagger Bomb for a 2 count. Swagger puts RVD in a headlock. RVD gets out and tries to make a tag, but RVD is dragged to the opposite corner. Barrett is tagged in and hits a neckbreaker. Barrett hits a couple of knees, and then follows it with a boot to the face, which gains him a 2 count. Swagger is then tagged in. Swagger gets taken down with a kick to the head, and RVD finally gains some space. RVD tags in Kofi, and Rollins is tagged in as well. Kofi then begins his comeback. Kofi hits the Boom Drop, and then follows it with the SOS. Kofi makes the cover, but Swagger breaks it up. Dolph takes out Swagger, and then RVD takes out Barrett. Rollins then takes out RVD, and hits the Peace of Mind on Kofi for the 3 count.

Winners: Seth Rollins, Bad News Barrett, and Jack Swagger

After the match, Swagger takes out Dolph, and Barrett takes out RVD. Barrett then takes Swagger, and Barrett stands tall.

Ziggler and Swagger lock up, with both men not gaining the advantage. They lock up again, with Swagger taking advantage with an elbow and a slam. Dolph Ziggler is put in a headlock and tries to get out, but Swagger takes him down again. Dolph however gets out and hits a dropkick, and then hits another one right when Swagger gets up. Ziggler goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. Ziggler then hits a neckbreaker for a 2 count. Dolph then goes for a splash in a corner, but Ziggler misses and falls out of the ring. Swagger brings him back in and covers Ziggler, but only gets a 2 count. Swagger then hits two shoulder blocks and then begins to work on the arm. Ziggler fights back and hits a kick to the head, but Swagger throws him over the top rope and leaves Ziggler laying. Swagger stands tall as we take a quick commercial break.

We return with Swagger in control over Ziggler. Ziggler however fights back with a jaw breaker, and then begins his comeback. Ziggler hits a cross body, and then hits 10 shots to the head in the corner. Ziggler finishes it with a neckbreaker, and then goes for the Fame-Asser. Ziggler reverses it into a roll up, but then is caught in the Patriot Lock. Ziggler gets out and hits the Fame-Asser, but only gets a 2 count. Swagger hits a big slam when he gets up, and then goes for the Swagger Bomb. Ziggler gets his feet up and then hits a jumping DDT. Both men are down and out comes Adam Rose. Rose gets on the mic and distracts Swagger. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag from behind and gets the 3 count!

Winner: Dolph Ziggler
